“Tell the story.” That’s Cindy Heath’s mantra. A writer and creative storyteller, Cindy has more than a decade-long career in communications, and the experience to help you tell your story and promote your organization.
Cindy, who grew up in the midwestern U.S. and still calls it home, is a child of the 1980’s—the decade when video began its rise as an important and relevant medium of creative communication. This helped fuel her love of video and realize its capacity for visual storytelling. While working on her first bachelor’s degree in journalism, she co-produced a documentary and interned at two local television stations. And although most of her career has been in corporate and non-profit communications, she’s never let go of the desire and passion to be a storyteller, especially through a visual medium.
Now, through her second bachelor’s degree in digital cinematography and her current employment with a non-profit, she’s been given the opportunity to re-visit that desire and passion and produce promotional videos for that organization. The videos she produces showcase individuals and ministries that provide financial help and hope to others in the local community.
Finally, in addition to working in communications, attending school, being a mom, and waiting for the next Star Wars film to be released, she also is an aspiring screenwriter. Her first short film screenplay finished in the quarterfinals (top 120 out of 2,000+ entries) of the 2016 BlueCat Screenwriting Competition and she’s currently working on her first feature-length screenplay as well as some short film screenplays and a TV pilot.
